The beginnings of FEC "Good News" - Skopje, date back to the autumn of 2005, when several Christian households in Skopje, formerly part of the Congregation Church, led by the love for Christ and the desire to be part of the building of Christ's Kingdom, began to pray and to seek guidance of God for the future servitude.
In the prayers and the mutual conversations, God gradually nested the idea for establishing a new church in Skopje. This small group of 20 persons, received help additionally from the Free Evangelical Church in Aachen, Germany, with Siegmar Mueller.
The first service was held at the 6th of November, 2005. In the beginning, various obstacles arose for the newly founded church Good News, such as the difficulty for registering the group as a church before the State. 5 year of battling with the State's labyrinths were needed, for in the end, the Supreme court to rule in our favor, and finally to grant us right to register the church.
By no means a lesser problem, were the financial resources for renting the hall for gathering, buying equipment for worship and securing the other means and resources for serving in the Work of God.
But all those problems, did not kill the desire of the faithful for spiritual growth, a greater dedication in the service of Christ's Kingdom. Led by Christ's real Lordship, swiftly we were able to begin with organizing the Sunday services, and during the week - to gather twice in home groups.
The Worship was growing with more additional worshippers, moreover, the childrens' Sunday school was started, the teenagers' gatherings, youth gatherings, men's, women's and other activities. Hence, the church grew in a consolidated body of Christ, known in Macedonia, as a church devoted to studying the Holy Scriptures, discipleship and evangelism.
All of this happened, thanks to the faithfulness of our Lord. Only we are guilty for the mistakes, and all the victories belong only to God.
Soli Deo Gloria. All Glory be to God alone!
